Baja Beer Vacation

Beer lovers – look no further for your perfect vacation! We’ve paired the relaxation of staying at an all-inclusive beach resort with the fun of exploring new and interesting craft beer.

Our newest beer tour is a little different than our typical Taste Vacation as our accommodations will be at an all-inclusive resort in beautiful Baja California, Mexico. Given the wonderful beach location, we have purposefully built in ample relaxation time into this itinerary, along with unique beer experiences.

We have planned one or two organized beer experiences each day with beer experts, both local and from the U.S., and even have a Bottle Share event. We have left the remaining portions of the day for having some fun in the sun while opting for a variety of water sport activities, relaxing by the pool, or exploring in town on your own or with others.

It is meeting other craft beer enthusiasts that can be one of the most memorable aspects of this trip. Come join us!

While the general trip itinerary will remain the same, the actual restaurants, hotels, and activities listed are subject to modifications. Changes that are out of our control are common — restaurants close or lose their amazing chef, a brewery changes their visiting hours, a hotel gets remodeled, etc. You are entrusting us to create an outstanding vacation for you and so it is possible we may take the liberty of making necessary changes to the itinerary that will improve your overall trip experience. If there is any one experience that is going to make or break your trip, please discuss this with us in advance.

Day 1: Welcome to Baja, Mexico!

On the first day of the trip, our shuttle service will meet at the Los Cabos airport and drive you to our all-inclusive resort.  You’ll have free time to explore the resort and the area.

Please note that like many resorts in the San José Del Cabo area, our all-inclusive resort is located on a beautiful white sand beach but the water is not swimmable. This is due to the strong ocean currents where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortés. However, the beach is still inviting, the hotel has two pools, and exploring town can be great fun.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a fun welcome reception hosted by Baja Brewing Company.  Dinner each night of this vacation is at one of the resort’s wonderful restaurants. You can choose to dine on your own or grouping up with others in our fun group of beer aficionados.

Day 2: Baja Brewing Company

You can enjoy a leisurely morning, having breakfast whenever you’d like. Late morning, we’ll head into town to Baja Brewing Company for a guided tour and tasting.  We’ll also enjoy lunch at their restaurant, paired with their tasty beers. After lunch enjoy free time for relaxation or exploration.

Tonight, we’ll host a themed bottle share where you showcase the awesome craft beers you brought from home with your fellow guests, allowing you to try a variety of beers you may not have even heard of.  After dinner, you can enjoy live entertainment at the hotel bar, perhaps accompanied by a tropical drink.

Day 3: Todos Santos Brewery

You’ll have a free morning to relax on the beach or pool, opt for one of many water sport activities, or visit the local bottle shop. After lunch at the hotel, we’ll drive about an hour north to the fun beach town of Todos Santos. We’ll enjoy a tour and tasting of Todos Santos Brewery, another example of how Mexico is moving into craft beer.

After, we’ll head to picturesque Playa Los Cerritos where you can swim in the clear blue waters or just relax on the beautiful sandy beach.  Back at the resort we’ll participate in a guided blind beer tasting, led by one of our beer experts. Dinner is again at the resort.

Day 4: Beer Education

You’ll have the morning free to do as you please. And there is plenty to do! Workout in the hotel gym. Read a book poolside. Stroll the beach. Play a game of tennis or visit the spa. Off site, you can go horseback riding, take a UTV tour, play a round of golf, or even rent a scooter to get around on your own.

This afternoon, we’ll participate in an informative and fun beer education seminar led by one of our beer experts. Details coming soon.

In the evening, we’ll host another entertaining themed bottle share with all our new friends so you can try more great beers.

Day 5: Departure

Today is departure day. We’ll gather for one last meal at breakfast, swapping stories from the week, say goodbye to our new friends, and perhaps make plans to get together for another beer vacation.

You can soak up any last minute pool or beach time before heading to the airport for your flight home.

Nights 1 – 4: Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos All Inclusive Highly rated and nestled between the white sandy beaches of San José Del Cabo and the Sierra de San Lázaro Mountains, this all-inclusive beach-front resort will be our home for all four nights of the trip. It offers a quiet adult-only section perfect for a relaxing in as well as an activities section with a big pool for games and swimming. You can also enjoy the hotel’s spa and tennis courts or easily book a fun additional activity such as ATV tours, horseback riding, or water sports.

Please note that like many resorts in the San José Del Cabo area, our resort is located on a beautiful white sand beach but the water is not swimmable. But don’t worry – we’ve built in a special visit to a stunning swimmable beach, Playa Los Cerritos, on Day 3 of the trip.

Arrival & Departure

We meet at the Los Cabos airport (airport code: SJD) at 3:00 pm and transfer you to our hotel in San José Del Cabo. Note: If you arrive earlier or later than our designated time, it is easy to take a taxi to our hotel.

On the last day of the tour, we do not have any activities planned so you can book your flights for whenever works best for you and grab a taxi from the hotel at the appropriate time.

Los Cabos is one of Mexico’s premier resort areas so there are a good number of airlines offering flights from many different cities all over the US and Canada. There are currently 26 flights from North America arriving in Los Cabos by 2:30 pm. Airlines that fly to Los Cabos airport include Southwest, American, United, Alaska, Frontier, Delta, and InterJet.
