Our Company
Taste Vacations is a travel company that specializes in food, wine, and beer tours in the world’s premier food and drink regions. We offer unique experiences not readily available to the everyday traveler, such as private tastings, wine blending lessons, cooking classes, private brewery tours, hikes with local agriculturists, and dinners with winery owners.
Though we focus on food and drink excursions, our clients do not need to be connoisseurs to enjoy our vacations. They just need to have enthusiasm for learning about new regions and cultures and an appetite for trying new things.
Our History
Allan Wright, the founder and president of Taste Vacations, began in the travel tour industry when he launched Zephyr Adventures in 1997 as the world’s first inline skating tour company. Since then he’s expanded Zephyr’s offerings to include active vacations of all kinds with a focus on active food, wine, and beer tours around the world. Until 2023, Zephyr operated annual food, wine, beer, and fitness industry conferences that established strong culinary and drink partnerships both domestically and internationally throughout the years.
Building off of Zephyr’s tour experiences and these industry relationships, Allan launched Taste Vacations in 2014 to focus exclusively on trips for food, wine, and beer enthusiasts.
